We had the opportunity to appear on KTUL Channel 8 (Good Day Tulsa) this morning to help with awareness of the Route 66 Regatta this weekend and gROW Tulsa. We have also finished the brochure for gROW Tulsa, and I am going to put a link to that below.

We have made many connections in the community and have started a dialog with a local school to see if we can pilot the program at that school. I will provide more information as it becomes available and appropriate to share.

I am excited about the challenges ahead. We need some organizations to partner with us to help us raise funds for equipment and coaching for this program. I feel good about the direction we are heading and pray that someone sees the value of this program to the community and wants to come along for the ride. It has the potential to expose more youth to the sport of rowing. Rowing clubs and coaches are managers of opportunity. We should be looking for ways to help add value to our respective communities and help grow those in our care.

I’ll update as there are more developments. If you have any thoughts or comments, I’d love to hear from you. Please sound off in the comments or connect with me on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.
