Coach Bergenroth – Online Rowing Coach

Connecting The Passion of Sports To The Classroom

It was an honor and a privilege to be invited to be a guest speaker on the Fueling Creativity in Education podcast. I met Cyndi Burnett, Ed.D and Matthew Worwood at the Learning and the Brain Conference this past spring during their breakout session on entrepreneurial competencies in education.

I am grateful that I have had the opportunity to teach at Holland Hall School and be involved at Tulsa Youth Rowing Association, where I have had been able to combine my passions of Teaching, Rowing, STEM, and Mobile App Development into the creation of curriculum and app that collects data from a Concept2, Inc. rowing machine to support students in the process of learning science and math concepts in a real-world context.

I am grateful for the chance to tell the story about my journey, coaching, and teaching and hope that it can inspire others to continue on their own to create their vision for teaching and coaching by bringing their own interests into the classroom or coaching environments.

I very much enjoyed my conversation with Matt and Cyndi. I appreciate their interest in educators sharing their passions with others, and look forward to future episodes learning from other guests.

It would mean a great deal to me for you to listen to this podcast and share it with those in your life that might find it as good resource.
